Week 2. Acts 1:5-11

Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, “What are you seeking?” And they said to him, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are you staying?” - John 1:38 Jesus asks what are you seeking?

The angels tell the disciples, "Why are you looking into the sky," after Jesus flies away into a cloud. We ask ourselves what are we seeking by meeting together? And we answer? For the Holy Spirit to come and change us and our community. We are seeking his face. We are seeking after the Kingdom of God, as we were charged, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness," - and praying, "Lord let your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven." This is what we are seeking when we meet together - to learn something about God, especially as it regards loving one another. We really believe God is wanting to expand His kingdom here on earth, his rule and reign, and we are saying "Come Lord Jesus."
